Technical Sales and Marketing Assistant 

 

Applied CAx is one of North America's Top 5 Siemens Digital Industries Software Partners.  Due to our continued double-digit year over year growth we are looking to grow our sales and marketing team.  The role supports our sales administration, account managers, and marketing efforts.  You will be working in a variety of roles to keep you on your toes, with the end result being the support of engineering CAD/CAM/CAE software sales.  After some time and our continued growth, this position could help you grow into a sales role, admin role, or marketing position with Applied CAx.   You will be exposed to all (3) areas initially.

Some of the duties you will have include:

  • Supporting our account managers by generating quotes and helping get accurate pricing 
  • Working with our accounting team to place orders and help process purchases with Siemens
  • Responding to customer inquiries and requests for software
  • Keeping accurate records and submitting marketing requests to Siemens 
  • Helping keep our Salesforce system accurate
  • Uploading content to social media channels and website
  • Leverage our FreshDesk support tickets to uncover add-on sales opportunities
  • Support in-person and online marketing events and webinars

 

Skills and Experience a Right Fit Candidate may possess:

 

  • Experience working effectively with Salesforce
  • Technical background or experience with a technical product
  • Effective with email, graphics authoring, presentation software
  • Experience working with marketing automation software
  • Experience with outbound sales, phone, and email outreach
  • Social media (LinkedIn, Instagram) proficiency
  • Comfortable and experienced working with spreadsheets
  • Experience with Quickbooks or other financial software

Digital Marketing & Media Intern

Applied CAx is an award-winning software sales and engineering services company. We provide design, analysis and manufacturing engineering software, training, and support.

We are looking for someone to use their growing marketing skills to assist us in a broad range of content creation and production for campaigns. A variety of tasks will be available to you as we discover and utilize your talents and interests.

Position Description: Assist our Digital Marketing Manager and our Sales Managers as we provide content, messaging and materials to our existing and prospective customers.

Potential tasks & Responsibilities include:

  • Video editing (must be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro)
  • Copywriting
  • Marketing materials creation (layout, graphic design)
  • Social media coordination (content creation and planning, brand management and reporting)
  • Email and newsletter creation (content entry, layout adjustment, campaign scheduling)
  • Website management assistance (content entry, layout adjustment)

A short list of skills that you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Video editing Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro (motion graphics experience a bonus)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office
  • Content creation (copywriting, graphic design)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with email applications such as Pardot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact
  • Bonus: Experience with Google Analytics
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects
  • Willingness to learn about new industries and fields 

Desired Attributes: The ideal candidate will be interested in the engineering & manufacturing fields, be comfortable with some degree of self-direction, and comfortable with constructive critiques of work output. In 3rd or 4th year of college graduate program or beyond.

Must-Have: References that speak to your work ethic and history

Compensation: $13.25 per hour

Position Type: Part-time, 18-24 hours a week for 8-to-12 weeks depending upon availability
