With 10+ years of experience, Adrian Jensen, PE, specializes in all things FEA and FEMAP: geometry modeling, meshing, analysis, post processing, and programming with the FEMAP API.
We recently caught up with Adrian and asked him to share some future plans with us…
So, what’s happening in September?
I’ll be moving to London to enroll at Hult International Business School.
What’s the name of the program?
“Global MBA”
How long will it take?
The Global MBA is a one-year full-time program. The alumni I’ve talked to said I should expect to spend about 60 hours per week on campus.
Who’s going with you?
My wife and I are moving from our quiet, forested property in Portland to a “cozy” flat in downtown London. Not only is she making the move with me, but she will also be tackling the Global MBA program.
What are you looking forward to?
It’s going to be a great opportunity to meet and work with new people from all over the globe. As the world becomes more interconnected, I think it is critical to understand how to communicate and collaborate with people from different parts of the world.
What will you miss?
When I’m not cranking on FEA models, I spend most of my time building trails and riding my bike in the Cascades. It’s going to be tough to say goodbye to the rivers and trees of the PNW. Also, there’s plenty of draught in the UK but you just can’t beat the beer scene in PDX.
Can people stop by your flat in London for FEMAP support?
Of course. I’ll be holding office hours once I settle on my favorite pub. However, if you want support, you’ve got to show up in-person.
What soccer team will you be rooting for?
That’s a tough one. I might have to hop on with the school or neighborhood favorite but in the meantime, I’m sticking with a logical choice for an engineer – West Ham United.
