We’re excited to welcome Swathi Kandukuri to our team as a PLM Engineer! Swathi has nine years of experience with Teamcenter PLM, working for companies such as Siemens, Honeywell, and IBM. She specializes in Teamcenter administration, upgrades, implementations, and configurations.
Q. What inspired you to join the Applied team?
A. During the interview process, I was impressed by the team’s energy and expertise. I have also heard great things about Applied CAx, such as how much this company has achieved and how fast it is growing. I’m looking forward to learning from such a talented and dedicated group of professionals.
Q. What are your areas of expertise?
A. Teamcenter Administration, Configuring and Customizing various Teamcenter modules as per the customer needs.
Q. What do you do for Applied?
A. I work as a PLM Engineer with Applied. My role here is to assist in configuring and developing a successful Teamcenter platform for the clients.
Q. Tell us about yourself – what’s your background and education?
A. I hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and am a Siemens-certified Teamcenter professional. I have 13 years of experience in IT and nine years of experience in Teamcenter PLM. My background includes working on various projects related to Teamcenter and Java programming.
Q. How did you get started in your field? What excited you about it?
A. Right after finishing my bachelor’s degree, I landed an opportunity to work with Siemens. That is when I was introduced to Teamcenter PLM and its concepts. What excited me was how companies use PLM to design, manufacture, and manage products. As I gained more experience, I became fascinated by the challenges of implementing PLM. Ever since, I have been excited to continue learning and growing in this field.
Q. Where are you located?
A. I live in Parker, Colorado.
Q. Where would we find you when you’re not at work?
A. When I am not at work, you can usually find me spending time with my family. I have two young kids who keep me on my toes, and I cherish every moment I get to spend with them.
Q. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A. Chicken curry with rasam rice.

- I enjoy painting and sketching in my free time. It’s a great way for me to unwind and tap into my imagination.
- I love traveling and exploring new places.
- I love spending time in the water. Swimming always makes me feel refreshed.
