New Motorcycle Blinkers Part 2: Using Clean-up Tools for your Topology Optimization Results
July 18, 2018
In part 1 for Making a new motorcycle blinker using Topology Optimization, we showed you how one of our staff engineers used NX topology optimization features to create a new design for a busted motorcycle blinker.
In this followup part two tutorial, we show you how to use convergent modeling tools such as Snip Facets and Fill Holes to clean up the data, smoothing out both the design and your eventual product. By doing this you’re improving your product and possibly saving on material before fabrication.
