Unleashing innovation: highlights from Applied CAx’s Xcelerator Regional User Club

October 30, 2024

Regional User Clubs are the ultimate gathering spot for Siemens Digital Industries Software users. These events feature an all-day opportunity to get hands-on with technical training and the chance to network with industry leaders, peers, and solutions experts.  Applied CAx is honored to be able to host said events to provide learning opportunities for our customers!

Our most recent event delivered powerful insights through technical seminars on Teamcenter, NX, Simcenter Femap, STAR-CCM+, and Simcenter 3D.

These seminars weren’t just random picks—our attendees helped curate the topics, and every session included time for audience Q&A, ensuring real-time problem-solving.

Engineering reports: the backbone of simulation

This presentation shed light on an often overlooked yet vital part of FEA Simulation Engineering—the Engineering Report.

Applied CAx Founder Dr. George Laird laid out a no-nonsense approach to simplifying the documentation process, showing how to rank documentation requirements from “must-have” to “nice-to-have.”

Along the way, he broke down the importance of mastering the technology behind FEA methods, such as isoparametric elements, CQUAD versus CQUADR, and element quality.
